GDP-4-dehydro-6-deoxy-α-D-mannose 3-dehydratase
This enzyme, involved in β-L-colitose biosynthesis, is a unique vitamin-B6-dependent enzyme. In the first step of catalysis, the bound pyridoxal phosphate (PLP) cafactor is transaminated to the pyridoxamine 5'-phosphate (PMP) form of vitamin B6, using L-glutamate as the amino group donor. The PMP cofactor then forms a Schiff base with the sugar substrate and the resulting adduct undergoes a 1,4-dehydration to eliminate the 3-OH group. Hydrolysis of the product from the enzyme restores the PLP cofactor and results in the release of an unstable enamine intermediate. This intermediate tautomerizes to form an imine form, which hydrolyses spontaneously, releasing ammonia and forming the final product. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: colD (gene name). Does not act on neral. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: GaDH; geoB (gene name). Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.2.1.86. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-1189; geranial dehydrogenase; EC 1.2.1.86; GaDH; geoB (gene name). Cat No: EXWM-1189.
geraniol 8-hydroxylase
Requires cytochrome P-450. Also hydroxylates nerol and citronellol, cf. EC 1.14.13.151 linalool 8-monooxygenase. The recommended numbering of geraniol gives 8-hydroxygeraniol as the product rather than 10-hydroxygeraniol as used by references 1-3. See prenol nomenclature Pr-1. The cloned enzyme also catalysed, but less efficiently, the 3'-hydroxylation of naringenin (cf. EC 1.14.13.21, flavonoid 3'-monooxygenase). Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: CYP76B6; G10H; CrG10H; SmG10H. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.14.13.152. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-0752; geraniol 8-hydroxylase; EC 1.14.13.152; CYP76B6; G10H; CrG10H; SmG10H. Cat No: EXWM-0752.
geraniol dehydrogenase (NAD+)
The enzyme from the bacterium Castellaniella defragrans is most active in vitro with perillyl alcohol. The enzyme from the prune mite Carpoglyphus lactis also acts (more slowly) on farnesol but not on nerol. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: GeDH; geoA (gene name). Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.1.1.347. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-0262; geraniol dehydrogenase (NAD+); EC 1.1.1.347; GeDH; geoA (gene name). Cat No: EXWM-0262.
