| Cefpirome Sulfate | Cefpirome is a semisynthetic, broad-spectrum, fourth-generation cephalosporin with antibacterial activity. Cefpirome binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall. PBPs are enzymes involved in the terminal stages of assembling the bacterial cell wall and in reshaping the cell wall during growth and division. Inactivation of PBPs interferes with the cross-linkage of peptidoglycan chains necessary for bacterial cell wall strength and rigidity. | Cefoselis | It is produced by the strain of Semisynthetic fourth generation cephalosporin for injection. Cefoselis, a new parenteral cephalosporin, was active against clinical isolates of both gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria. The activity of Cefoselis was similar to that of cefpirome and cefepime and generally superior to that of ceftazidime. Cefoselis showed potent antibacterial activity against Hemophilus influenzae and Moraxella catarrhalis. Cefoselis was highly active against MSSA and MSCNS.
