Palmitoyl-L-carnitine chloride
Palmitoyl-L-carnitine is a long-chain acylcarnitine. It inhibits lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase activity in rat. Synonyms: Hexadecanoyl-L-carnitine; L-Hexadecanoylcarnitine; L-Palmitoylcarnitine; [(2R)-3-carboxy-2-hexadecanoyloxypropyl]-trimethylazanium chloride. Grades: ≥95%. CAS No. 18877-64-0. Molecular formula: C23H46NO4·Cl. Mole weight: 436.07.
phosphatidylcholine-sterol O-acyltransferase
Palmitoyl, oleoyl and linoleoyl residues can be transferred; a number of sterols, including cholesterol, can act as acceptors. The bacterial enzyme also catalyses the reactions of EC 3.1.1.4 phospholipase A2 and EC 3.1.1.5 lysophospholipase. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase; phospholipid-cholesterol acyltransferase; LCAT (lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase); lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase; lysolecithin acyltransferase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 2.3.1.43. CAS No. 9031-14-5. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-2222; phosphatidylcholine-sterol O-acyltransferase; EC 2.3.1.43; 9031-14-5; lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase; phospholipid-cholesterol acyltransferase; LCAT (lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase); lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase; lysolecithin acyltransferase. Cat No: EXWM-2222.
pimeloyl-[acyl-carrier protein] synthase
A heme-thiolate protein (P-450). The enzyme catalyses an oxidative C-C bond cleavage of long-chain acyl-[acyl-carrier protein]s of various lengths to generate pimeloyl-[acyl-carrier protein], an intermediate in the biosynthesis of biotin. The preferred substrate of the enzyme from the bacterium Bacillus subtilis is palmitoyl-[acyl-carrier protein] which then gives heptanal as the alkanal. The mechanism is similar to EC 1.14.15.6, cholesterol monooxygenase (side-chain-cleaving), followed by a hydroxylation step, which may occur spontaneously. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: bioI (gene name); P450BioI; CYP107H1. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.14.15.12. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-0937; pimeloyl-[acyl-carrier protein] synthase; EC 1.14.15.12; bioI (gene name); P450BioI; CYP107H1. Cat No: EXWM-0937.
SPT Imidazopyridine 1
SPT Imidazopyridine 1 is a potent serine palmitoyl transferase (SPT) inhibitor (IC50 = 5 nM) used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and dyslipidemia. SPT Imidazopyridine 1 inhibits incorporation of 14C-serine into ceramide in dose manner, and lowers plasma ceramide levels in vivo. It also has the effect of increasing plasma HDL and reducing VLDL cholesterol levels in rats. Synonyms: SPT-IN-1; SPT IN 1; SPT Inhibitor 1; Imidazopyridine 1; 4-[6-(1-Oxoheptyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-8-yl]benzeneacetic acid; 2-[4-(6-heptanoylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-8-yl)phenyl]acetic acid; SPT-IN-1. Grades: ≥98%. CAS No. 1933533-18-6. Molecular formula: C22H24N2O3. Mole weight: 364.44.
