| mannan-binding lectin-associated serine protease-2 | Mannan-binding lectin (MBL) recognizes patterns of neutral carbohydrates, such as mannose and N-acetylglucosamine, on a wide range of microbial surfaces and is able to initiate activation of the lectin pathway of complement.
