cysteine desulfurase A pyridoxal-phosphate protein. The sulfur from free L-cysteine is first transferred to a cysteine residue in the active site, and then passed on to various other acceptors. The enzyme is involved in the biosynthesis of iron-sulfur clusters, thio-nucleosides in tRNA, thiamine, biotin, lipoate and pyranopterin (molybdopterin). In Azotobacter vinelandii, this sulfur provides the inorganic sulfide required for nitrogenous metallocluster formation. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: IscS; NIFS; NifS; SufS; cysteine desulfurylase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 2.8.1.7. CAS No. 149371-08-4. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-3365; cysteine desulfurase; EC 2.8.1.7; 149371-08-4; IscS; NIFS; NifS; SufS; cysteine desulfurylase. Cat No: EXWM-3365. Creative Enzymes
intermediate cleaving peptidase 55 Icp55 removes the destabilizing N-terminal amino acid residues that are left after cleavage by the mitochondrial processing peptidase, leading to the stabilisation of the substrate. The enzyme can remove single amino acids or a short peptide, as in the case of cysteine desulfurase (EC 2.8.1.7), where three amino acids are removed. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: Icp55; mitochondrial intermediate cleaving peptidase 55 kDa. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 3.4.11.26. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-4023; intermediate cleaving peptidase 55; EC 3.4.11.26; Icp55; mitochondrial intermediate cleaving peptidase 55 kDa. Cat No: EXWM-4023. Creative Enzymes
molybdenum cofactor sulfurtransferase Contains pyridoxal phosphate. Replaces the equatorial oxo ligand of the molybdenum by sulfur via an enzyme-bound persulfide. The reaction occurs in prokaryotes and eukaryotes but MoCo sulfurtransferases are only found in eukaryotes. In prokaryotes the reaction is catalysed by two enzymes: cysteine desulfurase (EC 2.8.1.7), which is homologous to the N-terminus of eukaryotic MoCo sulfurtransferases, and a molybdo-enzyme specific chaperone which binds the MoCo and acts as an adapter protein. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: molybdenum cofactor sulfurase; ABA3; HMCS; MoCo sulfurase; MoCo sulfurtransferase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 2.8.1.9. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-3367; molybdenum cofactor sulfurtransferase; EC 2.8.1.9; molybdenum cofactor sulfurase; ABA3; HMCS; MoCo sulfurase; MoCo sulfurtransferase. Cat No: EXWM-3367. Creative Enzymes
Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate is used as a cofactor for a wide range of enzymes including mitochondrial cysteine desulfurase, cystathionine γ-synthase (CGS), ornithine 4,5-aminomutase (OAM), and d-serine dehydratase. Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate is used in the studies of PLP-dependent enzyme active sites. Applications: A normal coenzyme form of vitamin b6. Group: Coenzymes. Synonyms: 3-Hydroxy-2-methyl-5-([phosphonooxy]methyl)-4-pyridinecarboxaldehyde; Codecarboxylase; PLP; Pyridoxal 5-phosphate. CAS No. 853645-22-4. Purity: ≥98%. Mole weight: 247.14. Appearance: Crystalline powder. Form: Solid. 3-Hydroxy-2-methyl-5-([phosphonooxy]methyl)-4-pyridinecarboxaldehyde; Codecarboxylase; PLP; Pyridoxal 5-phosphate; Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate; 853645-22-4. Cat No: COEC-048. Creative Enzymes
selenocysteine lyase A pyridoxal-phosphate protein. Dithiothreitol or 2-mercaptoethanol can act as the reducing agent in the reaction. The enzyme from animals does not act on cysteine, serine or chloroalanine, while the enzyme from bacteria shows activity with cysteine (cf. EC 2.8.1.7, cysteine desulfurase). Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: selenocysteine reductase; selenocysteine β-lyase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 4.4.1.16. CAS No. 82047-76-5. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-5318; selenocysteine lyase; EC 4.4.1.16; 82047-76-5; selenocysteine reductase; selenocysteine β-lyase. Cat No: EXWM-5318. Creative Enzymes
