L-Carosine is a dipeptide found at millimolar concentration in brain, muscle and the lens of the eye. In model systems it is a potent antioxidant that scavenges oxygen free radicals and transition metal ions. It blocks protein-protein and protein-DNA cross-links induced by hypochlorite anions and toxic aldehydes such as acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, and malondialdehyde, the primary product of lipid peroxidation. It also inhibits nonenzymatic protein glycation induced by aldose and ketose reducing sugars and inhibits the formation of toxic advanced glycation end products (AGE). These activities make it of interest in studies of aging, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer?s disease, and the secondary effects of diabetes. Group: Biochemicals. Alternative Names: ß-Ala-His-OH; N-( β-Alanyl)-L-histidine; NSC 524045; Sevitin; β-Alanyl-L-histidine; β-Alanylhistidine; Carnosine; 2: PN: WO2009033754 PAGE: 98 Claimed Protein; Dragosine; Ignotin; Ignotine; Karnozin; β-Alanyl-L-histidine. Grades: Highly Purified. CAS No. 305-84-0. Pack Sizes: 5g, 10g, 25g, 50g. Molecular Formula: C?H??N?O?, Molecular Weight: 226.23. US Biological Life Sciences.

myeloperoxidase
Contains calcium and covalently bound heme (proximal ligand histidine). It is present in phagosomes of neutrophils and monocytes, where the hypochlorite produced is strongly bactericidal. It differs from EC 1.11.1.10 chloride peroxidase in its preference for formation of hypochlorite over the chlorination of organic substrates under physiological conditions (pH 5-8). Hypochlorite in turn forms a number of antimicrobial products (Cl2, chloramines, hydroxyl radical, singlet oxygen). MPO also oxidizes bromide, iodide and thiocyanate. In the absence of halides, it oxidizes phenols and has a moderate peroxygenase activity toward styrene. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: MPO; verdoperoxidase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.11.2.2. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-0513; myeloperoxidase; EC 1.11.2.2; MPO; verdoperoxidase. Cat No: EXWM-0513.
TMB
TMB is a non-toxic, non-mutagenic, colorless dye that is also used as a chromogenic agent in enzyme detection systems based on horseradish peroxidase (HRP). TMB can function as a photoacoustic probe for reactive oxygen and nitrogen species ( ROS/RNS ), reacting with hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, singlet oxygen, and nitrogen dioxide to produce blue oxidation products. TMB can detect the singlet oxygen produced by the outer membrane of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 [1] [2]. Uses: Scientific research. Group: Fluorescent dye. Alternative Names: BM blue; Sure Blue TMB. CAS No. 54827-17-7. Pack Sizes: 10 mM * 1 mL; 500 mg; 1 g; 5 g. Product ID: HY-15930.
TMB dihydrochloride
