Magnesium sulfate is an inorganic salt (chemical compound) containing magnesium, sulfur and oxygen, with the formula MgSO4.It is often encountered as the heptahydrate sulfate mineral epsomite (MgSO4·7H2O), commonly called Epsom salt, taking its name from a bitter saline spring in Epsom in Surrey, England, where the salt was produced from the springs that arise where the porous chalk of the North Downs meets non-porous London clay. The monohydrate, MgSO4·H2O is found as the mineral kieserite. The overall global annual usage in the mid-1970s of the monohydrate was 2.3 million tons, of which the majority was used in agriculture.Anhydrous magnesium sulfate is used as a drying agent. The anhydrous form is hygroscopic (readily absorbs water from the air) and is therefore difficult to weigh accurately; the hydrate is often preferred when preparing solutions (for example, in medical preparations). Epsom salt has been traditionally used as a component of bath salts. Epsom salt can also be used as a beauty product. Athletes use it to soothe sore muscles, while gardeners use it to improve crops. Ribonuclease H from Escherichia coli, Recombinant
Ribonuclease H (RNase H) is a family of non-sequence-specific endonucleases that catalyze the cleavage of RNA via a hydrolytic mechanism. Members of the RNase H family can be found in nearly all organisms, from bacteria to archaea to eukaryotes. RNase Hs ribonuclease activity cleaves the 3-O-P bond of RNA in a DNA/RNA duplex substrate to produce 3-hydroxyl and 5-phosphate terminated products. In DNA replication, RNase H is responsible for removing the RNA primer, allowing completion of the newly synthesized DNA. Applications: Ribonuclease h from escherichia coli has been used in a study to assess metallobi ochemistry of the magnesium ion. ribonuclease h has also been used in a study to investigate selective inhibitors of hiv-1 reverse transcriptase ass ociated rnase h activity. T7 endonuclease i is a junction-resolving enzyme of 149 amino acid residue, encoded by gene 3 of bacteriophage t7, existing as a stable dimer. not only does it selectively bind and cleave four-way dna (holliday) junctions with high specificity for branched structures in double-stranded dna, such as cruciform dna, but also it has a strong preference for cutting single-stranded dna. it requires metal ions such as magnesium for activity. this product is purified from e. coli expressing the recombinant t7 endonuclease i (t7ei) gene. Group: DNA Modifying Enzymes. Purity: 250U; 5*250U. Storage: Store at -20°C. Cat No: ME-4004.
xylose isomerase
Contains two divalent metal ions, preferably magnesium, located at different metal-binding sites within the active site. The enzyme catalyses the interconversion of aldose and ketose sugars with broad substrate specificity. The enzyme binds the closed form of its sugar substrate (in the case of glucose, only the α anomer) and catalyses ring opening to generate a form of open-chain conformation that is coordinated to one of the metal sites. Isomerization proceeds via a hydride-shift mechanism. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: D-xylose isomerase; D-xylose ketoisomerase; D-xylose ketol-isomerase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 5.3.1.5. CAS No. 9023-82-9. Glucose Isomerase. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-5476; xylose isomerase; EC 5.3.1.5; 9023-82-9; D-xylose isomerase; D-xylose ketoisomerase; D-xylose ketol-isomerase. Cat No: EXWM-5476.
