preQ1 synthase The reaction occurs in the reverse direction. This enzyme catalyses one of the early steps in the synthesis of queuosine (Q-tRNA), and is followed by the action of EC 2.4.2.29, queuine tRNA-ribosyltransferase. Queuosine is found in the wobble position of tRNAGUN in Eukarya and Bacteria and is thought to be involved in translational modulation. The enzyme is not a GTP cyclohydrolase, as was thought previously based on sequence-homology studies. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: YkvM; QueF; preQ0 reductase; preQ0 oxidoreductase; 7-cyano-7-deazaguanine reductase; queuine synthase (incorrect as queuine is not the product); queuine:NADP+ oxidoreductase (incorrect as queuine is not the product). Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.7.1.13. CAS No. 1256460-80-6. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-1606; preQ1 synthase; EC 1.7.1.13; 1256460-80-6; YkvM; QueF; preQ0 reductase; preQ0 oxidoreductase; 7-cyano-7-deazaguanine reductase; queuine synthase (incorrect as queuine is not the product); queuine:NADP+ oxidoreductase (incorrect as queuine is not the product). Cat No: EXWM-1606. Creative Enzymes
archaeosine synthase In Euryarchaeota the reaction is catalysed by ArcS. In Crenarchaeota, which do not have an ArcS homologue, the reaction is catalysed either by a homologue of EC 6.3.4.20, 7-cyano-7-deazaguanine synthase that includes a glutaminase domain (cf. EC 3.5.1.2), or by a homologue of EC 1.7.1.13, preQ1 synthase. The enzyme from the Euryarchaeon Methanocaldococcus jannaschii can also use arginine and ammonium as amino donors. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: ArcS; TgtA2; MJ1022 (gene name); glutamine:preQ0-tRNA amidinotransferase (incorrect). Enzyme Commission Number: EC 2.6.1.97. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-2938; archaeosine synthase; EC 2.6.1.97; ArcS; TgtA2; MJ1022 (gene name); glutamine:preQ0-tRNA amidinotransferase (incorrect). Cat No: EXWM-2938. Creative Enzymes
tRNA-guanosine34 transglycosylase Certain prokaryotic and eukaryotic tRNAs contain the modified base queuine at position 34. In eukaryotes queuine is salvaged from food and incorporated into tRNA directly via a base-exchange reaction, replacing guanine. In eubacteria, which produce queuine de novo, the enzyme catalyses the exchange of guanine with the queuine precursor preQ1, which is ultimately modified to queuosine. The eubacterial enzyme can also use an earlier intermediate, preQ0, to replace guanine in unmodified tRNATyr and tRNAAsn. This enzyme acts after EC 1.7.1.13, preQ1 synthase, in the queuine-biosynthesis pathway. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: guanine insertion enzyme (ambiguous); tRNA transglycosylase (ambiguou. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 2.4.2.29. CAS No. 72162-89-1. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-2656; tRNA-guanosine34 transglycosylase; EC 2.4.2.29; 72162-89-1; guanine insertion enzyme (ambiguous); tRNA transglycosylase (ambiguous); Q-insertase (ambiguous); queuine34 transfer ribonucleate ribosyltransferase; transfer ribonucleate glycosyltransferase (ambiguous); tRNA guanine34 transglycosidase; queuine tRNA-ribosyltransferase (ambiguous); TGT; [tRNA]-guanine34:queuine tRNA-D-ribosyltransferase; transfer ribonucleic acid guanine34 transglycosylase. Cat No: EXWM-2656. Creative Enzymes
