Salinomycin
Salinomycin is a polyether ionophore with broad spectrum Gram +ve and anti-coccidial activity. Salinomycin has a high affinity for monovalent cations, particularly potassium. Salinomycin is used in animal health for control of coccidia and for growth promotion in ruminants. Recently, salinomycin has been shown to inhibit cancer stem cells and is > 100 times more potent than taxol. While the mechanism of action is unknown, it was noted that among the 60,000 compounds screened, another monovalent ionophore, nigericin, and a chloride channel inhibitor, avermectin, were also active. Group: Biochemicals. Grades: Highly Purified. CAS No. 53003-10-4. Pack Sizes: 5mg. US Biological Life Sciences.

Salinomycin
Salinomycin (Procoxacin), a polyether potassium ionophore antibiotic, selectively inhibits the growth of gram-positive bacteria. Salinomycin is a potent inhibitor of Wnt/β-catenin signaling, blocks Wnt-induced LRP6 phosphorylation. Salinomycin shows selective activity against human cancer stem cells [1] [2] [3]. Uses: Scientific research. Group: Signaling pathways. Alternative Names: Procoxacin. CAS No. 53003-10-4. Pack Sizes: 10 mM * 1 mL; 5 mg; 10 mg; 50 mg. Product ID: HY-15597.
Salinomycin Sodium is an antibiotic produced by the strain of Str. albus 80614. It has anti-gram-positive bacteria and mycobacterium effects. It also has the effect against gram-negative bacteria and fungi but the effect is weak. It has a therapeutic effect on chickens infected with coccidiococci. It can be used to prevent chicken coccidiosis. Synonyms: Salinomycin sodium salt; Sodium salinomycin; Procoxacin sodium salt; Coxistac sodium salt; Bio-Cox sodium salt; Sacox sodium salt; Salinomicina sodium salt. Grades: >98%. CAS No. 55721-31-8. Molecular formula: C42H69NaO11. Mole weight: 772.99.
Salinomycin, Sodium Salt
Cancer stems cells (CSCs) are a subpopulation of cells within tumors that drive tumor growth and recurrence. They are resistant to many current cancer treatments. Salinomycin (sodium salt) is an antibacterial and coccidiostat compound that shows selective toxicity for the CSCs that exist as a subpopulation within HMLER breast cancer cells (IC50s = ~24 versus ~90uM).1 At 8uM, salinomycin treatment of 4T1 and MCF7Ras breast cancer cell lines results in a ~2-fold and ~3-fold, respective reduction of CSCs relative to controls.1 Treatment of 5mg/kg salinomycin in mice implanted with SUM159 human breast cancer cells inhibits mammary tumor growth and induces increased epithelial differentiation of tumor cells. Group: Biochemicals. Alternative Names: alpha-ethyl-6?[5-[2-(5-?ethyltetrahydro-5-hydroxy-6-methyl-2H-pyran-2-yl)-15-hydroxy-2,?10, 12-trimethyl-1, 6, 8-trioxadispiro[4. 1. 5. 3]pentadec-13-en-9-yl]-2-?hydroxy-1, ?3-dimethyl-4- oxoheptyl]tetrahydro-5-methyl-2H-pyran-2-acetic acid,? monosodium salt. Grades: Highly Purified. CAS No. 55721-31-8. Pack Sizes: 5mg, 10mg, 50mg. Molecular Formula: C42H69O11 Na, Molecular Weight: 773. US Biological Life Sciences.
