Tantalum Quick inquiry Where to buy Suppliers range | Tantalum. Uses: The most common oxidation state of tantalum is +5 and its aqueous solution chemistry is that of its pentavalent ion Ta5+. Ta metal forms a pentavalent oxide, tantalum pentoxide, Ta2O5, on heating with oxygen. However, at ordinary temperatures a thin layer of oxide covering the metal surface protects tantalum from most chemical attacks. The metal is attacked by hydrofluoric acid below 150°C. It also is dissolved by hot fuming sulfuric acid. It reacts with fluorine and chlorine on heating, forming tantalum pentafluoride, TaF5, and pentachloride, TaCl5, respectively. The metal is immune to dilute aqueous alkalies but is attacked slowly by concentrated fused alkalies. It combines with molecular hydrogen above 250°C. The hydride formed decomposes on heating above 800°C in vacuum. Tantalum forms alloys with several metals. Group: Nanoparticles & Nanopowders. Alternative Names: AC1Q233L; DTXSID8064690; Tantalum powder, -22 mesh, Puratronic(R); Tantalum, foil, 0.5m coil, thickness 0.006mm, 99.9%; Tantalum, foil, 4mm disks, thickness 0.0075mm, 99.9%; Tantalum, foil, 2m coil, thickness 0.025mm, coil width 0.75mm, annealed, 99.9%; Tantalum, foil, 15mm disks, thickness 0.20mm, annealed, 99.9%; Tantalum, foil, 6mm disks, thickness 0.075mm, annealed, 99.9%; Tantalum, foil, 25x25mm, thickness 0.25mm, annealed, 99.99%; Tantalum, rod, 100mm, diameter 18mm, annealed, 99.9%. Vanadium Nano Dispersion (V, Diameter: 80-100nm, Purity: 99.9%) Quick inquiry Where to buy Suppliers range | Vanadium is a kind of high melting point refractory rare metal, and is called refractory metal together with niobium, tantalum, tungsten and molybdenum. It is malleable, hard and non-magnetic. It is not easily oxidized in the air, and is soluble in hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid and aqua regia. It is not easy to corrode, and it is also quite stable in alkali, sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Vanadium is widely used in metallurgy, aerospace, chemical and battery industries in the form of ferrovanadium, vanadium compounds and metal vanadium. In nature, vanadium rarely forms an independent mineral, mainly in vanadium-titanium magnetite, phosphate rock, uranium-bearing sandstone and siltstone. In addition, a large amount of vanadium occurs in bauxite and carbonaceous materials. (eg oil, coal). Uses: ·Preparation of vanadium pentoxide for lithium ion batteries ·Starting material for synthesis of vanadium oxide ·A substrate for the deposition of aluminium oxide for wear resistant coatings. Group: Metal Colloids. CAS No. 7440-62-2. Molecular Weight: 50.94 g/mol. InChIKey: 3380 °C (lit.). Boiling Point: 1890 °C (lit.). Flash Point: 99.9 %. Purity: 6.11 g/mL at 25 °C (lit.). |
