| Uroguanylin Topoisomer B (human) | Uroguanylin is a short peptide containing two disulfide bonds that can form interconversion topological isomers with the same disulfide connectivity. In the case of uroguanylin (UGN), both are relatively stable, separable, and slow to transform into each other. Different topoisomers have different biological activities: UGN A topomer can effectively activate the guanylate cyclase C receptor, mainly found in the intestine.
