Wheat Germ Oil Wheat germ oil is known to be rich in natural vitamins and essential fatty acids. Wheat germ oil is relatively sensitive to rancidity when exposed to extreme temperatures and oxygen and should therefore be used together with an antioxidant. Extraction method: Solvent extracted, refined. SAP Value: 185-195. Uses: Skin care and hair products. Group: Heterocyclic organic compound. Alternative Names: WHEAT GERM EXTRACT;WHEAT GERM OIL;Triticumvulgareoleum, refined;Wheatgermoilrefined. CAS No. 8006-95-9. Molecular formula: CAS: 8006-95-9. Appearance: Clear yellow liquid. Purity: N/A. Density: 0.93. Catalog: ACM8006959. Alfa Chemistry.
β-Sitosterol A common sterol in plants. Isolated from wheat germ oil, corn oil. Antilipemic. Used in the treatment of prostatic adenoma. 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. β-sitosterol reduces blood levels of cholesterol, and is sometimes used in treating hypercholesterolemia. β-Sitosterol inhibits cholesterol absorption in the intestine. When the sterol is absorbed in the intestine, it is transported by lipoproteins and incorporated into the cellular membrane. Group: Biochemicals. Alternative Names: (3 β)-Stigmast-5-en-3-ol; Nimbosterol; Stigmast-5-en-3 β-ol; (-)- β-Sitosterol; (24R)-Ethylcholest-5-en-3 β-ol; (24R)-Stigmast-5-en-3 β-ol. Grades: Highly Purified. CAS No. 83-46-5. Pack Sizes: 10mg, 25mg, 50mg. Molecular Formula: C29H50O, Molecular Weight: 414.71. US Biological Life Sciences. USBiological 2

β-Tocotrienol-d6 β-Tocotrienol-[d6] is the labelled derivative of β-Tocotrienol, which is an isomer of Vitamin E. β-Tocotrienol is one of the naturally occurring forms of vitamin E. β-Tocotrienol was isolated from wheat germ oil and from bran. Group: 2h labeled compounds. Alternative Names: (2R)-3,4-Dihydro-2,5,8-trimethyl-2-[(3E,7E)-4,8,12-trimethyl-3,7,11-tridecatrien-1-yl]-2H-1-benzopyran-6-ol-d6; 2,5,8-Trimethyl-2-(4,8,12-trimethyl-3,7,11-tridecatrienyl)-6-chromanol-d6; D-β-Tocotrienol-d6; Îμ-Tocopherol-d6; Îμ-Tokoferol-d6. Vitamin E Vitamin E refers to a group of compounds that include both tocopherols and tocotrienols. Of the many different forms of vitamin E, γ-tocopherol is the most common form found in the North American diet.γ-Tocopherol can be found in corn oil, soybean oil, margarine, and dressings. α-tocopherol, the most biologically active form of vitamin E, is the second-most common form of vitamin E in the diet. This variant can be found most abundantly in wheat germ oil, sunflower, and safflower oils. As a fat-soluble antioxidant, it stops the production of reactive oxygen speciesformed when fat undergoes oxidation. Regular consumption of more than 1,000 mg (1,500 IU) of tocopherols per day may be expected to cause hypervitaminosis E, with an associated risk of vitamin K deficiency and consequently of bleeding problems. Synonyms: Rac-alpha-Tocopherol; Vitamin E (DL-form); Tocopherol, alpha-DL-; [2theta(4theta,8theta)]-(+/-)-yl); 3,4-dihydro-2,5,7,8-tetramethyl-2-(4,8,12-trimethyltridecyl)-,[2R*(4R*,8R*)]-(+-)-2H-1-Benzopyran-6-ol; Alpha-Tocopherolum; (+/-)-alpha-Tocopherol. Grades: ≥96%. CAS No. 2074-53-5. Molecular formula: C29H50O2. Mole weight: 430.71. BOC Sciences
