CC-preferring endodeoxyribonuclease
Prefers CC sites in double-stranded circular and linear DNA. Greater affinity for double-stranded than single-stranded DNA. Produces nicks, generating double-stranded fragments with 5'- and/or 3'-protruding single-stranded tails. Requires magnesium ions for activity. The endonuclease from Chlorella-like green algae infected with NYs-1 virus 4 may be the same enzyme. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: Streptomyces glaucescens exocytoplasmic dodeoxyribonuclease. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 3.1.21.6. CAS No. 37211-67-9. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-3576; CC-preferring endodeoxyribonuclease; EC 3.1.21.6; 37211-67-9; Streptomyces glaucescens exocytoplasmic dodeoxyribonuclease. Cat No: EXWM-3576.
chlorophyllase
Chlorophyllase has been found in higher plants, diatoms, and in the green algae Chlorella. This enzyme forms part of the chlorophyll degradation pathway and is thought to take part in de-greening processes such as fruit ripening, leaf senescence and flowering, as well as in the turnover and homeostasis of chlorophyll. This enzyme acts preferentially on chlorophyll a but will also accept chlorophyll b and pheophytins as substrates. Ethylene and methyl jasmonate, which are known to accelerate senescence in many species, can enhance the activity of the hormone-inducible form of this enzyme. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: CLH; Chlase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 3.1.1.14. CAS No. 9025-96-1. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-3441; chlorophyllase; EC 3.1.1.14; 9025-96-1; CLH; Chlase. Cat No: EXWM-3441.
Cytovaricin
Cytovaricin is an antibiotic produced by Streptomyces sp. H-230 and Str. collinus H-230. It has the activity of inhibiting Yoshida sarcoma cells and has weak anti-phytopathogenic fungi and chlorella activity. CAS No. 79553-45-0. Molecular formula: C47H80O16. Mole weight: 901.13.
The enzyme from Chlorella shows very little activity towards monothiols such as glutathione and cysteine (cf. EC 2.8.1.3 thiosulfate-thiolsulfurtransferase). The enzyme probably transfers the sulfur atom onto one thiol group to form -S-S-, and sulfide is spontaneously expelled from this by reaction with the other thiol group. May be identical with EC 2.8.1.1 thiosulfate sulfurtransferase. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: thiosulfate reductase; TSR. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 2.8.1.5. CAS No. 9059-49-8. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-3363; thiosulfate-dithiol sulfurtransferase; EC 2.8.1.5; 9059-49-8; thiosulfate reductase; TSR. Cat No: EXWM-3363.
