Reversibly targets the catalytic heme iron of DAF-9 cytochrome p450 and induce a constitutive dauer (Daf-c), distal-tip cell migration (Mig) and protruding vulval (Pvl) phenotypes in wild-type C. elegans (at ~25uM). Also, shown to be one of the most potent inhibitors of CYP27A1, the mammalian ortholog of DAF-9.
