Epoprostenol Sodium
Epoprostenol Sodium is the sodium salt form of epoprostenol, which is a synthetic prostacyclin. It has vasodilatory and anticoagulant activity. It is a short-lived product of the cyclooxygenase pathway in vascular endothelial cells. It prevents the formation of platelet plugs and is an effective vasodilator. It is a potent inhibitor of platelet aggregation by antagonizing thromboxane A2 and stimulating platelet adenylyl cyclase. It directly simulates prostaglandin receptors in arterial vascular smooth muscle, thereby causing vasodilatation. lt is also used for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. It is biosynthesized enzymatically from prostaglandin endoperoxides in human vascular tissue. It is vasoprotective, protecting arterial walls from injury-induced lesions and cytoprotective in the liver and gastrointestinal tract. It was developed by GlaxoSmithKline and has been listed. Uses: Epoprostenol sodium has vasodilatory and anticoagulant activity. it prevents the formation of platelet plugs and is an effective vasodilator. lt is also used for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. Synonyms: Prostacyclin Sodium Salt; (5Z,9α,11α,13E,15S)-6,9-epoxy-11,15-Dihydroxy-prosta-5,13-dien-1-oic Acid Sodium Salt; Flolan. Grades: >99 %. CAS No. 61849-14-7. Molecular formula: C20H31O5Na. Ralinepag
This active molecular is a Epoprostenol receptor agonist which is an investigational drug candidate developed by Arena and intended for the treatment of vasospastic diseases, for an example, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Ralinepag has the potential to mimic prostacyclin which elicits a potent vasodilation and inhibits platelet aggregation when binding to this receptor. In Jan 2015, Phase-II clinical trials in Pulmonary arterial hypertension in USA was on going. In Jul 2015, Phase-II clinical trials in Pulmonary arterial hypertension in Spain was on going. In Jul 2015, Arena initiated enrolment in a phase II extension trial for Pulmonary arterial hypertension in USA, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland. Uses: Pulmonary arterial hypertension. Synonyms: 2- [ [4- [ [ (4-chlorophenyl) -phenylcarbamoyl] oxymethyl] cyclohexyl] methoxy] acetic acid,APD-811; APD 811; APD811; Ralinepag. Grades: 98%. CAS No. 1187856-49-0. Molecular formula: C23H26ClNO5. Mole weight: 431.91.
Treprostinil
Treprostinil is a vasodilator can be used for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. It is a synthetic analog of prostacyclin. Treprostinil is an epoprostenol receptor agonist and platelet aggregation inhibitor. Uses: The treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. Synonyms: Uniprost; Remodulin; Treprostinilo; Treprostinilum; 2-[[(1R,2R,3aS,9aS)-2-hydroxy-1-[(3S)-3-hydroxyoctyl]-2,3,3a,4,9,9a-hexahydro-1H-cyclopenta[g]naphthalen-5-yl]oxy]acetic acid.
