3-C-(Hydroxymethyl)-L-lyxose
3-C-(Hydroxymethyl)-L-lyxose, a natural carbohydrate compound, offers exciting potential for the biomedical industry. The antitumor properties of this molecule have been firmly established in numerous studies. Furthermore, it may prove useful in managing diabetes, as it can increase insulin sensitivity and glucose uptake. However, further research is needed to fully understand the breadth of possibilities offered by 3-C-(Hydroxymethyl)-L-lyxose. Synonyms: (D-Ribose, 3-C-(hydroxymethyl))-isomer; Pentose, 3-C-(hydroxymethyl)-; 3-C-hydroxymethylpentose; L-Lyxose, 3-C-(hydroxymethyl)-. CAS No. 99247-35-5. Molecular formula: C6H12O6. Differs from 1,3-β-galactosyl-N-acetylhexosamine phosphorylase (EC 2.4.1.211) in being active towards L-rhamnose and inactive towards N-acetyl hexosamine derivatives. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: D-galactosyl-β1?4-L-rhamnose phosphorylase; GalRhaP. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 2.4.1.247. CAS No. 1236189-79-9. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-2476; β-D-galactosyl-(1?4)-L-rhamnose phosphorylase; EC 2.4.1.247; 1236189-79-9; D-galactosyl-β1?4-L-rhamnose phosphorylase; GalRhaP. Cat No: EXWM-2476.
L-rhamnose isomerase
Contains two divalent metal ions located at different metal-binding sites within the active site. The enzyme binds the closed ring form of the substrate and catalyses ring opening to generate a form of open-chain conformation that is coordinated to one of the metal sites. Isomerization proceeds via a hydride-shift mechanism. While the enzyme from the bacterium Escherichia coli is specific for L-rhamnose, the enzyme from the bacterium Pseudomonas stutzeri has broad substrate specificity and catalyses the interconversion of L-mannose and L-fructose, L-lyxose and L-xylulose, D-ribose and D-ribulose, and D-allose and D-psicose. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: rhamnose isomerase; L-rhamnose ketol-isomerase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 5.3.1.14. CAS No. 9023-84-1. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-5455; L-rhamnose isomerase; EC 5.3.1.14; 9023-84-1; rhamnose isomerase; L-rhamnose ketol-isomerase. Cat No: EXWM-5455.
ribose isomerase
