3,3',5,5'-Tetraiodo-L-thyronine sodium salt
3,3',5,5'-Tetraiodo-L-thyronine sodium saltm is the sodium salt of levothyroxine, a synthetic levoisomer of thyroxine (T4) that is similar to the endogenous hormone produced by the thyroid gland. In peripheral tissues, levothyroxine is deiodinated by 5'-deiodinase to form triiodothyronine (T3). T3 enters the cell and binds to nuclear thyroid hormone receptors, the activated hormone-receptor complex in turn triggers gene expression and produces proteins required in the regulation of cellular respiration, thermogenesis, cellular growth and differentiation, and the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids. T3 also exhibits cardiostimulatory effects. Synonyms: L-Thyroxine NaLevothyroxine sodium; Levothyroxine sodium; L-Thyroxine sodium; Euthyrox; Unithroid; Levoxyl; eltroxin; Novothyrox; Levaxin; Letter; levothroid; Sodium levothyroxine; Sodium thyroxinate; L-Thyroxine sodium salt; Sodium L-thyroxine; synthroid; Laevoxin; Thyroxevan; Oroxine; Thyroxin sodium; sodium;(2S)-2-amino-3-[4-(4-hydroxy-3,5-diiodophenoxy)-3,5-diiodophenyl]propanoate. Grades: ≥ 98% (HPLC). CAS No. 25416-65-3. Molecular formula: C15H10I4NNaO4. Mole weight: 798.85.
L-Thyroxine sodium
L-Thyroxine sodium (Levothyroxine sodium) is a synthetic hormone for the research of hypothyroidism. DIO enzymes convert biologically active thyroid hormone (Triiodothyronine,T3) from L-Thyroxine (T4) [1]. Uses: Scientific research. Group: Natural products. Alternative Names: Levothyroxine sodium; T4 sodium. CAS No. 55-03-8. Pack Sizes: 10 mM * 1 mL; 500 mg; 1 g. Product ID: HY-18341B.
L-Thyroxine sodium salt pentahydrate
L-Thyroxine sodium salt pentahydrate is an iodine containing hormone produced from thyroglobulin in the thyroid follicular cells. It reduces total cholesterol level, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol as well as waist to hip ratio in subclinical hypothyroidism pateints. It was also used to study the light-induced hormone conversion of T4 to T3 in regulation of photoperiodic response of gonads in Japanese quail. Synonyms: Sodium levothyroxine pentahydrate. Grades: >98%. CAS No. 6106-7-6. Molecular formula: C15H20I4NNaO9. Mole weight: 888.93.
O-Methyl Tetraiodothyroethylamine
An impurity of Thyroxine which is formed by the molecular addition of iodine to the amino acid tyrosine while the latter is bound to the protein thyroglobulin. Synonyms: O-methyl-tetraiodothyroethylamine; T4-AMINE O-METHYL; X6P4742Z19; Q27293608; 2-(4-(3,5-DIIODO-4-METHOXYPHENOXY)-3,5-DIIODOPHENYL)ETHANAMINE; LEVOTHYROXINE SODIUM IMPURITY, O-METHYL-TETRAIODOTHYROETHYLAMINE, OR T4-AMINE O-METHYL- [USP IMPURITY]. Grades: > 95%. Molecular formula: C15H13I4NO2. Mole weight: 746.89.
