lignin peroxidase A hemoprotein, involved in the oxidative breakdown of lignin by white-rot basidiomycete fungi. The reaction involves an initial oxidation of the heme iron by hydrogen peroxide, forming compound I (FeIV=O radical cation) at the active site. A single one-electron reduction of compound I by an electron derived from a substrate molecule yields compound II (FeIV=O non-radical cation), followed by a second one-electron transfer that returns the enzyme to the ferric oxidation state. The electron transfer events convert the substrate molecule into a transient cation radical intermediate that fragments spontaneously. The enzyme can act on a wide range of aromatic compounds, including methoxy...escued by interaction with two molecules of the free radical products. In the case of veratryl alcohol, such an interaction yields two molecules of veratryl aldehyde. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: diarylpropane oxygenase; ligninase I; diarylpropane peroxidase; LiP; diarylpropane:oxygen,hydrogen-peroxide oxidoreductase (C-C-bond-cleaving); 1,2-bis(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)propane-1,3-diol:hydrogen-peroxide oxidoreductase (incorrect); (3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)methanol:hydrogen-peroxide oxidoreductase. Applications: Manganese peroxidase from white-rot fungus (phaner ochaete chrysosporium) is from the peroxidase family and is used to oxidize manganese. it may be used to study wound healing. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: manganese peroxidase; peroxidase-M2; Mn-dependent (NADH-oxidizing) peroxidase; EC 1.11.1.13; 114995-15-2; MnP. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.11.1.13. CAS No. 114995-15-2. MnP. Activity: > 20 U/g. Storage: -20°C. Form: powder; only partially soluble in water or buffer; light brown. Source: White-rot fungus (Phaner ochaete chrysosporium). manganese peroxidase; peroxidase-M2; Mn-dependent (NADH-oxidizing) peroxidase; EC 1.11.1.13; 114995-15-2; MnP. Cat No: NATE-0454. Polystyrene standards, Low molecular weight analytical standard, pkg of 1 kit. Uses: Low molecular weight polystyrene can be used as an adhesive additive to asphalt. polystyrene standards has been used in the calibration of the molecular weights of aqueous polymer samples obtained from microcalorimetric measurements whose peak molecular weight can be determined using gel permeation chromatography(gpc). polystyrene standards, low molecular weight is used as a calibration standard for the gel permeation chromatographic (gpc) determination of molecular weight measurements of lignin extracted from poplar and pine, in the production of lignin-derived activated carbon (ac) materials. Group: Polystyrene (ps). Pack Sizes: pkg of 1 kit. Alfa Chemistry Materials 3

versatile peroxidase A hemoprotein. This ligninolytic peroxidase combines the substrate-specificity characteristics of the two other ligninolytic peroxidases, EC 1.11.1.13, manganese peroxidase and EC 1.11.1.14, lignin peroxidase. Unlike these two enzymes, it is also able to oxidize phenols, hydroquinones and both low- and high-redox-potential dyes, due to a hybrid molecular architecture that involves multiple binding sites for substrates. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: VP; hybrid peroxidase; polyvalent peroxidase; reactive-black-5:hydrogen-peroxide oxidoreductase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.11.1.16. CAS No. 42613-30-9, 114995-15-2. Versatile Peroxidase. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-0497; versatile peroxidase; EC 1.11.1.16; 42613-30-9, 114995-15-2; VP; hybrid peroxidase; polyvalent peroxidase; reactive-black-5:hydrogen-peroxide oxidoreductase. Cat No: EXWM-0497.
