Biotin (Glucose Oxidase) Biotin is used as a growth factor in mammalian cell culture as well as having numerous immunological purification roles in avidin/streptavidin-biotin binding mechanisms. Biotin, also known as vitamin H or B7, is a water-soluble B-complex vitamin which is composed of an ureido (tetra hydroimidizalone) ring fused with a tetrahydrothiophene ring. A valeric acid substituent is attached to one of the carbon atoms of the tetrahydrothiophene ring. Biotin is a cofactor in the metabolism of fatty acids and leucine, and it plays a role in gluconeogenesis. Biotin is necessary for cell growth, the production of fatty acids, and the metabolism of fats and amino acids. It plays a role in the citric acid cycle, which is the process by which biochemical energy is generated during aerobic respiration. Biotin not only assists in various metabolic reactions, but also helps to transfer carbon dioxide. Biotin is also helpful in maintaining a steady blood sugar level. D-glutamate oxidase This enzyme belongs to the family of oxidoreductases, specifically those acting on the CH-NH2 group of donors with oxygen as acceptor. The systematic name of this enzyme class is D-glutamate:oxygen oxidoreductase (deaminating). Other names in common use include D-glutamic oxidase, and D-glutamic acid oxidase. This enzyme participates in d-glutamine and d-glutamate metabolism. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: D-glutamic oxidase; D-glutamic acid oxidase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.4.3.7. CAS No. 37255-41-7. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-1483; D-glutamate oxidase; EC 1.4.3.7; 37255-41-7; D-glutamic oxidase; D-glutamic acid oxidase. Cat No: EXWM-1483. Creative Enzymes
diamine oxidase A group of enzymes that oxidize diamines, such as histamine, and also some primary monoamines but have little or no activity towards secondary and tertiary amines. They are copper quinoproteins (2,4,5-trihydroxyphenylalanine quinone) and, like EC 1.4.3.21 (primary-amine oxidase) but unlike EC 1.4.3.4 (monoamine oxidase), they are sensitive to inhibition by carbonyl-group reagents, such as semicarbazide. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: amine oxidase (ambiguous); amine oxidase (copper-containing) (ambiguous); CAO (ambiguous); Cu-containing amine oxidase (ambiguous); copper amine oxidase (ambiguous); diamine oxidase (ambiguous); diamino oxhydrase (ambiguous); histaminase; histamine deaminase (incorrect); semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase (incorrect); SSAO (incorrect). Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.4.3.22. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-1477; diamine oxidase; EC 1.4.3.22; amine oxidase (ambiguous); amine oxidase (copper-containing) (ambiguous); CAO (ambiguous); Cu-containing amine oxidase (ambiguous); copper amine oxidase (ambiguous); diamine oxidase (ambiguous); diamino oxhydrase (ambiguous); histaminase; histamine deaminase (incorrect); semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase (incorrect); SSAO (incorrect). Cat No: EXWM-1477. Creative Enzymes
