Chebulagic acid
Chebulagic acid is a polyphenol and tannin that has been found in T. chebula and has diverse biological activities. It is an inhibitor of COX-1, COX-2, and 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO; IC50s = 15, 0.92, and 2.1 μM, respectively) as well as α-glucosidase and 15-LO (IC50s = 0.05 and 24.9 μM, respectively). Coffee Arabica Extract
Derived from the fruit portion of the Coffea arabica plant, this ingredient is a very good antioxidant when applied to skin (and consumed orally in the popular beverage coffee). Among other antioxidants, coffee is a rich source of ferulic acid. Arabica contains almost 60% more lipids and almost twice the amount of sugar. These play an important part in not only the flavor, but the aroma and body of the coffee. Arabica beans taste better because the increase in sugar gives the coffee a better taste, a cleaner mouthfeel, and a decrease in bitterness. The main constituents of coffee are caffeine, tannin, fixed oil, carbohydrates, and proteins. It contains 2-3% caffeine, 3-5% tannins, 13% proteins, and 10-15% fixed oils. In the seeds, caffeine is present as a salt of chlorogenic acid (CGA). Uses: Flavor. Group: Plant Extracts. INCI Names: Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract. Grades: INDUSTRIAL GRADE. CAS No. 84650-00-0. Pack Sizes: 25 kgs Jerrycan, 200 kg Drums. Product ID: CF-0201. Olfactive Profile: Coffee, earthy, fruity, bitter. EC No: 283-481-2. Origin: Indonesia.

Tannase (Food grade)
Tannase is an enzyme that enables the production of clear tea beverages while maintaining the tea's original deep flavor. The "browning" of tea beverages occurs because the caffeine and catechins in the tea create compounds that do not dissolve in cold water. Tannase separates the gallic acid (which is related to the bonding of caffeine and catechin) from the catechins, thus preventing the browning effect. Applications: Tannins enzymes widely used in food processing, feed processing, cosmetics and leather production process. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: tannase; 9025-71-2; Tannin acyl Hydrolase. CAS No. 9025-71-2. Tannase. Activity: 300 Units/g. Appearance: Light-brown Powder. Storage: Sealed, dark, below 25°C. Source: Aspergillus oryzae. tannase; 9025-71-2; Tannin acyl Hydrolase. Cat No: TAC-3000.
Tannic Acid
Tannic acid is a specific commercial form of tannin, a type of polyphenol. Its weak acidity (pKa around 10) is due to the numerous phenol groups in the structure. The chemical formula for commercial tannic acid is often given as C76H52O46, which corresponds with decagalloyl glucose, but in fact it is a mixture of polygalloyl glucoses or polygalloyl quinic acid esters with the number of galloyl moieties per molecule ranging from 2 up to 12 depending on the plant source used to extract the tannic acid. Commercial tannic acid is usually extracted from any of the following plant part: Tara pods (Caesalpinia spinosa), gallnuts from Rhus semialata or Quercus infectoria or Sicilian Sumac leaves (Rhus coriaria).According to the definitions provided in external references such as international pharmacopoeia, Food Chemicals Codex and FAO-WHO tannic acid monograph only tannins sourced from the above-mentioned plants can be considered as tannic acid. Sometimes extracts from chestnut or oak wood are also described as tannic acid but this is an incorrect use of the term. It is a yellow to light brown amorphous powder; 2850 grams dissolves in one litre of water (1.7 moles per liter). While tannic acid is a specific type of tannin (plant polyphenol), the two terms are sometimes (incorrectly) used interchangeably. The long-standing misuse of the terms, and its inclusion in scholarly articles has compounded the confusion. This is particularly w
