Permethrin
Permethrin is a medication and chemical widely used as an insecticide, acaricide, and insect repellent. Permethrin is a first-line treatment for scabies. It is used as a cream. It belongs to the family of synthetic chemicals called pyrethroids and functions as a neurotoxin, affecting neuron membranes by prolonging sodium channel activation. It is not known to rapidly harm most mammals or birds, but is toxic to fish and cats. In cats it may induce hyperexcitability, tremors, seizures, and death. In general, it has a low mammalian toxicity and is poorly absorbed by skin.It is on the World Health Organizations List of Essential Medicines, the most important medications needed in a basic health system. Group: Inhibitors. Dinotefuran
Dinotefuran is an insecticide of the neonicotinoid class developed by Mitsui Chemicals for control of insect pests such as aphids, whiteflies, thrips, leafhoppers, leafminers, sawflies, mole cricket, white grubs, lacebugs, billbugs, beetles, mealybugs, and cockroaches on leafy vegetables, in residential and commercial buildings, and for professional turf management. Its mechanism of action involves disruption of the insects nervous system by inhibiting nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. In order to avoid harming beneficial insects such as bees, it should not be applied during bloom. ; In July of 2013, the state of Oregon temporarily restricted the use of dinotefuran pending the results of an investigation into a large bee kill.Dinotefuran is also used in veterinary medicine as a flea and tick preventative for dogs and as a flea preventative for cats. pyrethroid hydrolase
The enzyme is involved in degradation of pyrethroid pesticides. The enzymes from Sphingobium sp., Klebsiella sp. and Aspergillus niger hydrolyse cis-permethrin at approximately equal rate to trans-permethrin. The enzyme from mouse hydrolyses trans-permethrin at a rate about 22-fold higher than cis-permethrin. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: pyrethroid-hydrolyzing carboxylesterase; pyrethroid-hydrolysing esterase; pyrethroid-hydrolyzing esterase; pyrethroid-selective esterase; pyrethroid-cleaving enzyme; permethrinase; PytH; EstP. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 3.1.1.88. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder.
