tRNA-guanosine34 transglycosylase Certain prokaryotic and eukaryotic tRNAs contain the modified base queuine at position 34. In eukaryotes queuine is salvaged from food and incorporated into tRNA directly via a base-exchange reaction, replacing guanine. In eubacteria, which produce queuine de novo, the enzyme catalyses the exchange of guanine with the queuine precursor preQ1, which is ultimately modified to queuosine. The eubacterial enzyme can also use an earlier intermediate, preQ0, to replace guanine in unmodified tRNATyr and tRNAAsn. This enzyme acts after EC 1.7.1.13, preQ1 synthase, in the queuine-biosynthesis pathway. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: guanine insertion enzyme (ambiguous); tRNA transglycosylase (ambiguou. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 2.4.2.29. CAS No. 72162-89-1. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. TRO 19622 Olesoxime (TRO19622) is an experimental neuroprotective drug. It is the lead compound of Trophos' cholesterol-oxime compound family of mitochondrial pore modulators. It is a molecule that has a cholesterol-like structure and displays neuroprotective properties. TRO19622 is as effective as a cocktail of three neurotrophic factors in keeping motor neurons alive in culture. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that the compound promotes the function and survival of neurons and other cell types under disease-relevant stress conditions through interactions with the mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP). A 2009-2011 phase 3 clinical trial of olesoxime in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis did not demonstrate a significant increase in survival versus placebo. Trofosfamide Trofosfamide is an orally bioavailable oxazaphosphorine prodrug with antineoplastic activity. Trofosfamide (TFF) is metabolized predominantly to the cyclophosphamide analogue ifosfamide (IFO), which is then metabolized by liver cytochrome P450s to the active isophosphoramide mustard (IPM). IPM alkylates DNA to form DNA-DNA cross-links, which may result in inhibition of DNA, RNA and protein synthesis, and tumor cell apoptosis. Check for active clinical trials or closed clinical trials using this agent. (NCI Thesaurus). Synonyms: Trofosfamide; Ixoten; Genoxal Trofosfamida; A-4828; A 4828; A4828. Grades: 98%. Troglitazone Troglitazone, PPARγ agonist, is an anti-diabetic thiazolidinedione (TZD) with anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor activity, which was approved for the treatment of insulin resistance and hyperglycemia in Type II diabetes, but was withdrawn from the market due to hepatotoxicity. It binds to the PPARγ ligand-binding domain (LBD) but fails to induce interaction of the PPARγ LBD with the transcriptional coactivators SRC-1, TIF2, AIB1, p300, or TRAP220. It also induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in several cancer cell lines. It displays no activity at PPARα or PPARδ receptors and displays anti-invasive effect on human breast cancer cells.
