glutamyl-tRNA reductase
This enzyme forms part of the pathway for the biosynthesis of 5-aminolevulinate from glutamate, known as theC5 pathway. The route shown in the diagram is used in most eubacteria, and in all archaebacteria, algae and plants. Glutaric acid (Standard)
Glutaric acid (Standard) is the analytical standard of Glutaric acid. This product is intended for research and analytical applications. Glutaric acid, C5 dicarboxylic acid, is an intermediate during the catabolic pathways of lysine and tryptophan. Glutaric acid affects pericyte contractility and migration. Glutaric acid is an indicator of glutaric aciduria type I [1] [2] [3]. In Vitro: Glutaric acid (GA) at concentrations of 1 and 2 mM is able to reduce TRAP measurement by up to 28% in a dose-dependent manner (β=0.77; P<0.001). Furthermore, a significantly inverse correlation is also verified between chemiluminescence and TRAP (β=0.81; P<0.001). Glutaric acid does not alter the activities of Cat and SOD, but strongly inhibits (up to 46%) the activity of GPx even at the lower concentration used (0.5 mM). It is observed that the metabolite inhibits this activity in a dose-dependent manner at concentrations as low as 0.05 mM [1]. Uses: Scientific research. Group: Natural products. CAS No. 110-94-1. Pack Sizes: 10 mg; 25 mg; 50 mg; 100 mg. Product ID: HY-W008820R.

glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase (acceptor)
The enzyme contains FAD. The anaerobic, sulfate-reducing bacterium Desulfococcus multivorans contains two glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenases: a decarboxylating enzyme (EC 1.3.8.6), and a nondecarboxylating enzyme (this entry). The two enzymes cause different structural changes around the glutaconyl carboxylate group, primarily due to the presence of either a tyrosine or a valine residue, respectively, at the active site. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: GDHDes; nondecarboxylating glutaryl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase; nondecarboxylating glutaconyl-coenzyme A-forming GDH; glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase (non-decarboxylating). Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.3.99.32. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. Cat No: EXWM-1434.
glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase (ETF)
Contains FAD. The enzyme catalyses the oxidation of glutaryl-CoA to glutaconyl-CoA (which remains bound to the enzyme), and the decarboxylation of the latter to crotonyl-CoA (cf. EC 4.1.1.70, glutaconyl-CoA decarboxylase). FAD is the electron acceptor in the oxidation of the substrate, and its reoxidation by electron-transfer flavoprotein completes the catalytic cycle. The anaerobic, sulfate-reducing bacterium Desulfococcus multivorans contains two glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenases: a decarboxylating enzyme (this entry), and a non-decarboxylating enzyme that only catalyses the oxidation to glutaconyl-CoA (EC 1.3.99.32). Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: glutaryl coenzyme A dehydrogenase; glutaryl-CoA:(acceptor) 2,3-oxidoreductase (decarboxylating); glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.3.8.6. This enzyme, which has been characterized from the proteobacterium Marichromatium gracile, is a chimeric protein, containing a peroxiredoxin-like N-terminus and a glutaredoxin-like C terminus. The enzyme has peroxidase activity towards hydrogen peroxide and several small alkyl hydroperoxides, and is thought to represent an early adaptation for fighting oxidative stress. The glutathione amide disulfide produced by this enzyme can be restored to glutathione amide by EC 1.8.1.16 (glutathione amide reductase). Group: Enzymes. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.11.1.17. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-0498; glutathione amide-dependent peroxidase; EC 1.11.1.17. Cat No: EXWM-0498.
glutathione amide reductase
A dimeric flavoprotein (FAD). The enzyme restores glutathione amide disulfide, which is produced during the reduction of peroxide by EC 1.11.1.17 (glutathione amide-dependent peroxidase), back to glutathione amide (it catalyses the reaction in the opposite direction to that shown). The enzyme belongs to the family of flavoprotein disulfide oxidoreductases, but unlike other members of the family, which are specific for NADPH, it prefers NADH. Group: Enzymes. Synonyms: GAR. Enzyme Commission Number: EC 1.8.1.16. Storage: Store it at +4 ?C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ?C?-80 ?C. Form: Liquid or lyophilized powder. EXWM-1642; glutathione amide reductase; EC 1.8.1.16; GAR. Cat No: EXWM-1642.
Glutathione Ammonium Salt-d5
Glutathione Ammonium Salt-d5. Uses: For analytical and research use. Group: Building blocks. Catalog: APS001805. Format: Neat.
Glutathione Ammonium Salt-d5
Glutathione Ammonium Salt-d5 is the isotope labelled analog of Glutathione. Glutathione may decrease the concentrations of inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-18), neutrophils in lung tissue and increase the level of serum Ca2+ and be useful for the treatment of ANP. Glutathione production is regulated via distinct pathways in stressed and non-stressed cortical neurons. Group: Biochemicals. Grades: Highly Purified. Pack Sizes: 1mg, 10mg. Molecular Formula: C10H12D5N3O6S (free acid). US Biological Life Sciences.
